"Junk Gypsies"
The popular HGTV show “Junk Gypsies” features designer Amie Sikes and Jolie Sikes as they go on the road to find junk and use it to transform homes. These rowdy treasure hunters find beauty in trash and use it to create their colorful designs.
This episode “Antiques Week” shows the sisters attending one of the largest antique markets in the country. The “Junk Gypsies” make over items and create signature pieces to sell in their tent. They breathe new life into a chair, decoupage a bed and transform a French horn into a one-of-a-kind lighting fixture.

"Making It Home: Greensburg"
TLC show info:
Doug Wilson and Febar Dewar star in TLC's makeover docu-soap. They will see first hand that "giving your neighbors a
helping hand" is not just a cliché, it’s a way of life, especially in a
community destroyed by a tornado. While neighbors in Greensburg,
KS, have always looked out for each other, the storm has brought
them even closer. Now, with hard work and lots of emotional resolve,
this close-knit community is rebuilding their town. The time has come
to transform those new houses into homes, as six families come
together to tackle home improvement and design projects in each
other’s homes. Their goal: to create a welcoming and safe home
environment for one another, and to show the world what can be
done when a community works together.
Design on a Dime makes over a space for design-conscious home dwellers who want lots of style but may not have lots of money for the project. With a budget of $1,000, a design team tackles a problem area such as a boring bedroom, lackluster living room, cluttered dining room or outdated office space. Together, the team transforms the ordinary into the awesome.
And what fun to see the residents' reaction to their new room!
The budget isn't big, but the payoff sure is.
